Job Title: Server / Barista (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Location: OASES Café

Pay: $18.00/hour + tips

About the Role

OASES Café is seeking a passionate and experienced Server/Barista to join our team. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment and has a strong background in both coffee preparation and table service.

Key Responsibilities: 

Barista Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, juices, and other beverages according to OASES standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment, including deep cleaning.
• Monitor and brew house coffee throughout the day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary beverage station.
• Stay up to date on all beverage menu items and preparation methods.

Server Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, including off-menu items and specials.
• Take accurate orders and input them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Maintain table cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Handle guest concerns or questions with professionalism and care.
• Additional Tasks
• Prepare and assemble food items such as bowls and light dishes.
• Juice fresh ingredients as needed.
• Assist with cashier duties and tip reporting.
• Follow daily prep lists and contribute to a smooth shift flow.

• 3–4 years of barista experience and 2+ years of serving experience in a high-volume café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and food service.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• TIPS certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
