If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.** **Job Description:** **Job Title: Business Development Architect - VCF Advanced Services** **Join our team and help shape the future of VMware's VCF Advanced Services!** As a Solution Architect on our VCF Advanced Services team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our new and innovative solutions. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams, and account teams to deliver workshops, proof of concepts, and validate new solutions from VMware engineering. Additionally, you will help develop initial technical content and demos for our customers as well as support a knowledgeable team of Business Development Managers to help drive revenue growth and core sales enablement. **About the Team:** Our team is focused on rapidly launching new VCF Advanced Services (Add-Ons) and winning market share. We 'incubate' products for 12-18 months before they become part of our standard product line. Currently, we are working on incubating VMware Live Recovery, VMware Private AI Foundation w/ NVIDIA, and VMware Data Services Manager. Each product is in a different phase of incubation, and once we release them, we'll pick up new technologies from our Intake candidates and start the process again. **Ideal Candidate:** We're looking for a talented Solution Architect who possesses: Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to help drive revenue growth. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of VMware's products and solutions, as well as emerging technologies. Inspirational Leadership: Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Creative Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and creatively, with strong hands-on problem-solving skills to overcome complex technical challenges. Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and marketing. Execution Oriented: Ability to execute against goals and objectives toward measurable results and outcomes. **Success in the Role:** To be successful in this role, you will need: + Strong hands-on experience with VCF, NSX, vSAN, VCF Automation and Operations, VKS, and general Kubernetes. + Experience with AI is a huge bonus, and will be a key differentiator in your success in this role. + A deep understanding of cloud-native applications, containerization, and microservices architecture. + The ability to design and implement complex solutions that meet customer needs, and to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + A track record of driving revenue growth through technical sales and solution architecture. + The ability to travel for conferences and customer engagements. + Networking skills are a bonus as well as having some experience with hardware and GPU architectures. **The Work:** As a Solution Architect, you will: + Interact with the broader VCF Division and BSG sales team to provide feedback on the receptiveness of our offerings. + Track and report progress of individual workstreams associated with our incubation framework. + Become the initial field facing SME on new offerings and work with the BSG sales team and Advanced Services Business Development Managers on initial sales campaigns. + Train a smaller group of Sales SMEs to gain capacity and work with our Training Department to build Learning Journeys. + Develop acceleration plans that may include a larger eco-system of 'routes to market', such as Partners, Resellers, and Systems Integrators. + Conduct product specific demos, workshops and Proof of Concepts with customers. + Attend weekly Forecast calls and provide updates on Pipeline creation, deal closures, etc. + Collaborate with peer Solution Architects to help design and maintain real-world and cutting edge infrastructure to help support the team's learning, validation and workshop activities. + Shepherd and maintain product team interlocks to help shape our Advanced Services based on customer needs and feedback. **Leadership and Culture:** You will report to the Advanced Services Architects leader within the VCF Division. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
