There's something special about you, and we are excited to learn more! **Compensation :** **RVT 2 - 3 years of experience:** **$26.50 - $29.50** **RVT 3+ years of experience: 29.50 - $32.00** **ALL** **dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities.** **Why We Want** **You!** We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Cardiology department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to animals, with a specific focus on cardiac health. As an integral part of our team, you will work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians and/or assistants, and other staff members to ensure the well-being of our patients. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist veterinarians in performing diagnostic procedures and treatments related to cardiology. + Comfortable with monitoring anesthesia and assessing patients during procedures, including interventional cardiac catheterizations in our fluoroscopy operating room. + Conduct diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), radiographs, routine blood monitoring and echocardiograms. + Place Holter monitors on patients and educate clients in their use. + Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians. + Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure proper documentation of procedures. + Communicating and educate pet owners on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and at-home care. + Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive care to patients. + Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards. **Skills:** + Venipuncture + Catheter placement + Radiology + Anesthesia monitoring + Physical examinations and patient assessment + Surgical preparation and assisting + Laboratory work + Pharmacology + Patient recovery + Compassionate care for our hospitalized patient + Works well in team environment + Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures + Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals + Assisting our Doctor and Technician staff as needed with patient care + Maintain accurate and complete medical records + Helping clients and doctors during humane euthanasia's + Maintain a clean work environment to maintain any infectious disease protocols, handle medical/biomedical and infectious waste appropriately + Maintain inventory and supplies for procedures and patient husbandry. **Qualifications:** + Current and valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license + Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common conditions (Preferred but not required). + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. + Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards animals and their owners. **If you are a current associate, you need to apply through our internal career site.
