Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to support our allied health operations by accurately entering, updating, and maintaining critical health-related data. The ideal candidate has experience with medical or administrative data systems and understands the importance of data integrity and confidentiality in a healthcare setting.

This is a remote position ideal for someone who is self-motivated and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and update patient, billing, scheduling, or clinical information into electronic health record (EHR) systems or databases
  • Review source documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Correct errors and verify data integrity
  • Maintain secure, organized digital records
  • Work closely with medical staff, therapists, or billing teams to ensure data flow is accurate and timely
  • Perform audits of entered data as needed
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
  • Previous experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting
  • Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, Kareo, or similar) a plus
  • Strong typing skills (minimum 50 WPM recommended)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry tools
