Job Description JSG is seeking a Graphic Designer for a Contract to Hire opportunity for our client in Thousand Oaks Our client is looking for a highly skilled, detail-driven Graphic Designer to join their in-house creative team. They are looking for someone who is not only creatively strong but also highly organized, resourceful, and solution-oriented.
As the primary designer responsible for the flagship wholesale catalog, you'll play a key role in how our products are visually presented to retailers nationwide. You'll also support a range of marketing initiatives across print and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities Catalog Design & Production - Lead the design and production of the wholesale catalog, ensuring accurate and visually consistent product presentation.
- Manage large-scale data inputs and updates efficiently using Excel or other process-optimization tools.
- Own layout design, product imagery, and production to deliver polished, print-ready files under tight deadlines.
Marketing Design Support - Design a variety of materials, including sell sheets, event collateral, digital assets, and presentations.
- Edit and retouch product photography as needed to align with brand standards.
- Execute organic design projects when custom creative assets are required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with project stakeholders to align on goals and execute projects effectively.
- Proactively identify and implement workflow improvements to optimize creative processes.
- Ensure design systems, templates, and brand assets remain current and well-organized.
Qualifications - 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in wholesale, catalog production, print design, web design, or related environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing print and digital design projects
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects, work independently, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), with strong photo editing and layout design expertise.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills for catalog-related data handling (e.g., automation, bulk input, data merges).
- Strong organizational and file management habits; exceptional attention to detail.
- Professional, resourceful, proactive attitude and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Pay: $36-$39 per hour
