Job Summary The Junior Buyer is responsible for assisting the Procurement Department with administrative work.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES -
Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions - Send out RFQ for bids
- Prepare data packages for RFQ
- Send out Open Order Reports to Suppliers
- Highlight any problem areas and reports to Procurement Team Leader
- Generate effective communication, good relationships, and a positive image with suppliers and co-workers promoting courtesy, objectivity and fairness
- Liaise with planners to control scheduling of parts to ensure stock levels meet demands while staying within stock level buffers
- Review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)/Withhold tags written against suppliers and relays such
- information to them with corrective action
- Update suppliers with engineering changes and drawings
- Complete projects and other Duties as assigned
Education GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience - High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree is desired
Experience - Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates.
Other - Extended or irregular hours may be required.

SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION - Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.
PROBLEM SOLVING - Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives.
Language Skills - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Compensation / Benefits Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience, and internal equity. Hourly Rate Transparency: $25 - $30 per hour, depending on candidate qualifications
