• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

ROLE IMPACT: This role serves a key function in facilitating homeownership for veterans by specializing in VA loan origination. Success is defined by efficient processing, regulatory compliance, and exceptional borrower service from application through closing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Originate and process residential mortgage loans with a focus on VA products
• Guide borrowers through loan programs, eligibility, and documentation requirements
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and VA-specific lending regulations
• Manage a pipeline of active applications from intake through final approval
• Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely funding
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must reside in Texas
• Valid NMLS license in good standing
• 2+ years’ experience originating residential mortgage loans
• Demonstrated proficiency in VA loan products and guidelines
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Encompass LOS
• DU/LP Automated Underwriting Systems
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Credit reporting and AUS platforms
• CRM tools for pipeline management
• Electronic document collection systems
• E-signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign)
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Prior experience working remotely
• Familiarity with FHA and Conventional loan programs
