We are currently partnered with multiple accredited training programs and healthcare facilities seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor . This role is responsible for teaching and supervising CNA students in both classroom and clinical settings, ensuring compliance with New York State Department of Health and State Education Department regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for Certified Nursing Assistant training programs, including classroom lectures, skills lab, and clinical supervision.
• Ensure all course content and instruction meet NYS and program accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Education and Training Department to support curriculum development and program goals.
• Maintain accurate student attendance, grading, and performance records.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and facility partners.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Evaluate student competency through written exams, skills demonstrations, and clinical evaluations.
• Maintain an organized and safe learning environment in both classroom and clinical settings.
• Stay current with professional practices, certification requirements, and updates in CNA training regulations.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by program leadership.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday

• Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Evening Session: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

(8-week training program)

Requirements

• Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in New York State .
• NYS BPSS Teacher’s License (preferred).
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a nursing home, hospital, or long-term care facility .
• Prior teaching or supervisory experience in healthcare education preferred.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to instruct, mentor, and evaluate students effectively.
• Professional demeanor, dependability, and commitment to student success.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to program policies.

Compensation

$40.00 per hour
