Job Description

Metzgers is looking for an Offset Press operator that enjoys helping our customers with their high-quality printed products such as books, magazines, calendars, and catalogs. 

• Preparing the press for printing by loading plates and paper and assuring ink settings are correct and match specifications.
• Reading and understanding work orders.
• Operating the press and monitoring the print process.
• Matching color to the proofs.
• Checking proofs/samples and continually checking the quality of printed materials to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Keeping the presses in good working order.
• Preforming maintenance on presses.
• Removing, stacking, and packing printed material in various stages of completion on pallets as it accumulates on machine.
• Troubleshooting print and equipment issues.

• High school diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of industry experience.
• Offset print experience is strongly preferred.
• Able to comprehend and apply basic mathematical principles and use a calculator and technology.
• Good attendance is required.
