The Outpatient Neuro RN Coordinator will serve within a 300+bed, Joint Commission–accredited acute care organization aligned with a premier academic health system, bringing robust specialty resources to an ambulatory neurology center. This is a setting recognized for quality, safety, and patient experience, with shared governance empowering nursing voices at the point of care. The Outpatient Neuro RN Coordinator will practice in an ambulatory/outpatient MS center that integrates clinic, infusion, and supportive services.
The Outpatient Neuro RN Coordinator reports to the Nursing Director, with a close, collaborative partnership with the Center’s Medical Director. The role provides day-to-day clinical coordination for clinic RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants, and may precept newly hired team members. Additionally, the position collaborates with neurologists, advanced practice providers, infusion nurses, rehabilitation therapists, social work, and pharmacy to deliver seamless, multidisciplinary care.
The Outpatient Neuro RN Coordinator supports a high-volume ambulatory MS and neuroimmunology practice that offers comprehensive visits, symptom management, infusion therapies, and patient education. The role delivers expert triage, ongoing assessment, care planning, and education for individuals with multiple sclerosis and related neurological conditions across the lifespan, coordinating diagnostics, treatments, and infusion care as needed. Excellence is driven through competency development, care pathway optimization, and quality improvement initiatives that advance outcomes and patient experience. Supporting operational efficiency by streamlining workflows, coordinating schedules, tracking key metrics, and fostering strong provider relationships are also included in this position. Candidates earning quick interviews have previous neurological experience and are licensed in New York State.
