Responsibilities

The Peri Op RN role involves the following responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive post-operative care to patients in the perioperative setting.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and manage pain effectively.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to safety protocols.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Must possess valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of perioperative care practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience in orthopedic and general surgical procedures is a plus.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing critically ill patients.
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting is preferred.
