St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, a Division of St. Joseph's Medical Center, is seeking a full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to work in our Outpatient Mental Health Services Clinic. The position is in-person and based at the hospital in Harrison, NY. The person selected for this position will lead clinical psychiatric treatment of children and adolescents in the Outpatient Mental Health Services Clinic. In addition, the position includes being eligible for a faculty appointment at New York Medical College and playing an active role in our Residency Training Program.
The Outpatient Mental Health Service Clinic treats a large and diverse group of patients. Services for adults, children, geriatric, and Spanish-speaking are offered through the clinic. Staff work collaboratively in the clinic with a full multidisciplinary team which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, and peer support specialists. In addition, our PGY-3 residents rotate through this service which facilitates ample teaching opportunities.
St. Vincent's has been serving the Westchester community for over 140 years. We offer the broadest range of mental health and addiction treatment services in Westchester County, NY. The inpatient services at St. Vincent's include 139 inpatient beds, comprised of 109 psychiatric beds and 30 addiction rehab beds. Our outpatient services include the Westchester County crisis team which receives all 988 suicide hotline calls for the entire county, two partial hospital programs, multiple intensive outpatient programs, PROS, ACT, ECT, four addiction treatment programs with multiple levels of care, two outpatient mental health clinics with psychiatric services for people across the lifespan, and Westchester County's only Intensive Crisis Residence.
