Position Overview:

The Sewer Manager manages all personnel and activity of the Sewer Service and Install departments of the company. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: implementing strategies to achieve the financial goals of the two departments and overseeing all aspects of the Sewer technicians they relate to scheduling, training, and supervision. Collaboration between departments is required for the department to run smoothly and to give the best quality of service to the client.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

  • Lead the Sewer Service and Install teams to accomplish jobs according to industry standards, drive revenue, and improve the customer experience
  • Coach team members on industry product knowledge, sales techniques, and Service Systems to maximize every opportunity
  • Reviews customer proposals for jobs to ensure profitability of job and assign the appropriate teams to complete the installation
  • Handle any customer service complaints for your department and resolve them accordingly.
  • Report to company management on projected revenue, challenges, and growth of the department and attend all mandatory weekly meetings.
  • Audit technician timesheets to ensure department efficiency standards are being met.
  • Perform field rides and field inspections.
  • Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure necessary tasks get accomplished in a timely manner
  • Assist human resources in the hiring process to achieve the department's staffing needs
  • Analyze data, reporting, statistics and all necessary KPIs as applicable to the service department
  • Handle disciplinary action and fulfill training deficiencies for technicians in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, utilize, and manage standards and/or checklists for service technicians
  • Facilitate service meetings, training including safety compliance trainings, and team huddles
  • Oversee communications with technicians regarding all invoicing and techniques to ensure accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned

What Does It Take?

  • Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years of service and/or installation experience, sale management preferred
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Cross-functional skills: Basic math skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communicator, written and verbal, with strong customer and team member relation skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to train, mentor and respectfully coach team members, as required.

  • Physical Environment: This position may work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures. The associate may climb/descend steps and ladders. The associate may work on roofs, tight confines, in attics, basements and crawl spaces. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
