Job Description

Sr Advanced Software Engineer Sr Advanced Software Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ Responsibilities: Responsible for developing Experion Local Control Network (ELCN) and C300PM Evolution projects based on the knowledge on TPN system architecture, RNOS operating system, Data Hiway network protocols. Design and develop the software components using Honeywell proprietary Pascal language, 68000 assembly language. Use Honeywell proprietary tools (TPS dump analyzer, MAP tool, PAS68) for debugging and fixing issues in various firmware and software applications for Honeywell Control systems. Provide technical guidance and mentorship on TPS DCS and Experion PKS to the team throughout the project development phase. Work on translating and reverse engineering the existing 68000 assembly language code. Collaborate with an Experion Local Control Network (ELCN) requirement analyst to get detailed knowledge of the business requirement, and customer use cases and understand the functional and non-functional requirements. Closely work with a Total Plant Solution Distributed Control System (TPS DCS) architect to identify the architectural risks and work on the key architectural and design decisions to mitigate the risks. Follow Agile and Scrum methodology during complete development phase of ELCN and C300PM Evolution projects. Collaborate with the customer support team and field service engineers at the customer site in debugging and solving critical customer issues. Provide inputs to the Information development team to draft the User documents. Host training for customer support team and System Test team on ELCN and C300PM product deliverables. Brainstorm on new product ideas and enhancement ideas on existing products and work with the team to productize the ideas. YOU MUST HAVE: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 8 years of experience with product development engineering. Must have 5 years of experience with the following: experience in ability to understand/learn legacy system software and ability to write C, C++, windows, Firmware and embedded Linux code; Total Distributed Control (TDC),Total Plant Solution (TPS) and Experion; experienced in large scale legacy system migrations and deployments; working knowledge in Virtualization, Performance characterization and automation; experience working in an Agile Environment, Multi-tasking, Planning and working without direct supervision; and knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
