This is a remote position.
As our Student Records Data Entry Clerk, you will support accurate, timely maintenance of student information across the district’s systems. This role focuses on clean data entry, document indexing, and quality checks for enrollment, transfers, attendance, assessments, and program participation.
Enter, update, and verify student demographics, enrollments/withdrawals, schedules, and program codes in the SIS (e.g., PowerSchool).
Index and organize digital records (proofs of residency, immunizations, IEP documents, home language surveys) following district naming/version standards.
Perform daily QA to identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent data; resolve issues or route to the SIS Manager.
Process attendance edits, course changes, and grade/report card updates in coordination with school secretaries and counseling teams.
Support PIMS and other state/federal reporting by preparing clean extracts and correcting validation errors.
Maintain confidential records in accordance with FERPA and district policy.
Generate routine reports (enrollment counts, attendance summaries, roster verifications) for school leaders.
Respond to tickets/requests in the queue; document work completed and next steps.
Assist with annual rollover, back-to-school registration, and mid-year data cleanups.
High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in office technology, data management, or related field preferred.
1+ year of experience in data entry, records, registrar, or administrative support (education setting a plus).
Consistent typing accuracy and attention to detail; comfortable working with spreadsheets and databases.
Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office and PDF tools.
