Shift Notes:

Monday-Friday: 0730 start - 4p/430p end: 5x8 hr shifts - 40 hrs/week

• Pay Rate: Up to $55/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change.

Oncology Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:
Provides direct care to patients in a general medical-surgical setting. Manages a variety of medical conditions, assists with post-operative recovery, performs assessments, administers medications, and ensures patient comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care, wound care, and pain management.
• Administer medications and treatments, observing for reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in life-saving procedures as needed.

Requirements:

• RN license in state of assignment.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in medical-surgical units preferred.
• Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.

Work Environment & Demands:

• Hospital settings (Med-Surg units, post-op recovery, step-down).
• Rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.

Certification Requirements

• BLS (AHA)
