Job Description

Essential Job Functions :

  • Positions railcars
  • Connects and operates auger system
  • Hammers or vibrates rail car to loosen sugar from sides
  • Loads, seals, jockeys, and parks trailers
  • Filling out paperwork
  • Cleans work areas
  • Any other duties as requested directed or assigned by the manager/ supervisor
  • Designated Safety Sensitive Position
  • Transports truck trailers with product and materials using yard truck.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience (Licenses and Certifications):

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Any specialized safety or other training required
  • Yard Truck

Equipment to Be Used:

  • Forklift, Yard Truck, Rail Car Mover
 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in food production
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Ability to work under stress with interruptions and deadlines
  • Ability to understand and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form as they pertain to production 
  • Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions
  • Ability to master basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities
 

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking, using tools and performing repetitive actions
  • Must be able to lift 100lbs at a time
  • Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machines 
  • A separate, complete document of physical demands is attached

Working Hours:

  • Standard working hours for 2nd shift are 3pm to 11pm Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position.
  • Overtime may be required, and hours are subject to change based on company needs
  • Employees are required to clock in 10 minutes before the beginning of the shift
