Pre-Owned Sales Manager Job Description About the Role: The Pre-Owned Sales Manager at Jack Schmitt Ford, Inc is responsible for overseeing and managing the Used Car (UC) department to ensure optimal inventory levels, pricing strategies, and sales performance. This role requires a strategic approach to sourcing, merchandising, and selling pre-owned vehicles while maintaining high customer satisfaction and profitability. The Pre-Owned Sales Manager will lead a team of sales professionals, coordinate with other dealership departments, and implement marketing initiatives to drive used car sales growth. They will analyze market trends and customer preferences to make informed decisions that align with the dealership’s goals. Ultimately, the Pre-Owned Sales Manager plays a critical role in maximizing the dealership’s used vehicle revenue and enhancing the overall customer experience. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience and a track record of success in used car sales management or a related automotive retail role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards, used car valuation, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in dealership management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a Ford dealership or familiarity with Ford brand vehicles and programs.
  • Certification in automotive sales or management from recognized industry organizations.
