Corporate Bridge Design Leader

Join a growing, forward-thinking engineering firm as a leader in shaping the future of bridge design. AI Engineers is seeking a dynamic, experienced professional to lead and expand our Bridge Design discipline. This strategic role offers the opportunity to oversee existing projects, manage and grow a team of dedicated engineers, and play a critical role in driving business development across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

We're seeking a leader with the vision, drive, and relationships to expand our footprint—especially with state departments of transportation and other large public sector clients

This is a high-impact leadership position with significant influence on the direction and growth of one of the firm's key emerging disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the bridge design discipline across multiple offices and regions
  • Manage and mentor a team of bridge engineers and support staff, with an eye toward recruiting and expanding the group
  • Oversee current bridge design projects, working in tandem with existing project managers
  • Build and strengthen client relationships, particularly with state DOTs and public sector agencies
  • Drive strategic pursuits, proposals, and business development efforts
  • Collaborate with company leadership to expand our presence in both traditional and alternative project delivery markets
  • Provide technical guidance on bridge design
  • Shape a long-term vision for the success and scalability of the bridge design division

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (BSCE)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (CT, NY, MA, preferred or ability to obtain)
  • 10+ years of experience managing bridge design projects from contract through construction
  • Demonstrated experience with public sector clients and DOTs
  • Strong understanding of contractual, procurement, and delivery methods
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams, win work, and make decisions that drive growth

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
